JIM AMBERG is Richard’s son and the managing member of the firm.  Ever since Jim was a teenager, he worked for his father, learning the ins and outs of striving to win every criminal case.  After becoming an attorney at twenty-five years old, Jim immediately continued the family tradition by winning cases.  In fact, when Jim was only twenty-six, he successfully argued the legally significant case of United States v Presley in the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.  In a published opinion, the Court upheld Jim’s victory at the trial level in ensuring Mr. Presley received immediate release from his life sentence.

Jim has won trials, motions, dismissals, and has handled everything from major drug conspiracy to murder cases.  He was recently represented Joni Holbrook in the highly publicized Holbrook Murder Case and has won some of the most difficult major felony assault cases.  Additionally, his motions are used by many of his criminal defense attorney colleagues throughout Michigan.  Jim has been named a Superlawyer by Superlawyer Magazine, a Top Lawyer by DBusiness Magazine, and has a rating of Superb by AVVO.com.
